We used the So What Master Plan for Life Genesis 1-3 in our retreat for the preteens and teens. It caught the attention of our youth. We are in the process of rebuilding our youth department. I am grateful for these samples so that our team will be able to build a complete curriculum plan. Our aim is to lead our youth in a way that will encourage them to choose a life with Christ. And will love God to the extent of yielding their lives in ministry.

We are using the So What studies with our Middle School Youth group (I just ordered our 5th study) and have been very pleased with the format and content of this program!

I am also starting this week on my second round of teaching Philippians and just finished the second time of the Romans study—phenomenal studies! I only wish they were expanded to more of Paul’s books.
We have used two sets of these studies with our youth life group as part of an international church. It is very difficult to get material for youth Bible studies that is firmly Bible-based, yet not too simple or patronising for them. I feel that the studies we have used so far (Romans and Philippians) are pitched at an excellent level for this group. The last study on Philippians was especially good as went through tools and techniques that they could then go and use themselves whenever they do further Bible study. We will definitely keep these as a core for future studies. The amount of leader material is also a great help. Thank you.
Just ordered my third series for our youth group at Calvary Baptist Church. I LOVE this program. The kids love it and respond well during Bible study. So blessed to be using a Bible-based program that doesn’t cater to our changing times. Thank you. Be blessed.

We are finishing the “So What?” Philippians Bible study this week. I teach 11th grade Bible in a Christian school and this is what I have been looking for. So thankful for your material and the depth and creativity that it offers.
I highly recommend these materials to those who teach this age group. My students really enjoyed it, while being challenged too.

When you’re ready to study another book, we have wonderful modules on John 1-10, John 11-21, and Romans. And, of course, all the studies go through Scripture even if they are more topical in nature.
I am extremely interested in this for my Wednesday night Bible study. I would like to know if this is based on KJV scripture. Also is this good for a group of only 4 students? We do not have a large youth turnout at our church unfortunately.
Yes, they will be perfect for your small group on Wednesday nights. You will have wonderful discussions with the students, and you’ll be amazed by the insights they have! Our studies use the ESV version of the Bible, but if you prefer to have the kids read from the KJV as you work through the study, that would be fine. And while you may have 4 students now (which is great! They are who the Lord has brought for you to disciple!), we have found that as your students become excited about the study, they will be more likely to invite their friends and your group will start to grow, by God’s grace. Thank you for your kind words! Where you begin in the series of studies really depends on the students you have and what your goals are for them. While you can start with any of the studies and do them in any order, a couple of them are geared for a bit more maturity than others (Identity & Purpose and The Christian Mind need more critical thought). We have an article here that you may find helpful for just this question. It will give you some ideas about how to pair studies, or which to use to focus on different aspects of discipleship. I love these studies! They have made my teaching experience so much easier and they have helped me to establish a focal point for a well rounded curriculum for my youth.
I was only wondering, are there plans for any new studies that we might look forward to from the “So What?” series? I would love to see this outline expanded to a whole list of topics that I know my youth would be interested in. I am first in line to purchase them if/when they are made available.

This current generation of teens is harder than ever to reach. They need to know the Lord more than they realize. They think they know everything and have everything they need, yet they are so unfulfilled, so needy. This material lets them find out the answers themselves. That’s what makes it so good.
Again – I cannot say this enough: having been involved with youth for the greater part of twenty years, your material is that RARE bird of being good quality, challenging content for youth with a SOLID grounding in God’s Word. Keep it up!
I love So What? because it challenges my students! I am encouraging use of the Journal. I think it is wonderful for them to use during the week. I love teaching these studies! Keep them coming!

I have used your study on WORSHIP recently and have truly been blessed myself as well as seen my students grow in their walk w/ the Lord!
Having used several different curricula for small group studies, I love the leader guide. It is the best tool I’ve found for leaders as it combines a mini-commentary with a very well-prepared guideline for leading. In the past, I’ve almost had to develop my own leader guide. This one is great, with very solid theology. The students like the graphics and the journal that reinforces throughout the week.
My teen girls love the So What series. We are finishing up Romans and they are excited to start the next series, Growing in Christ’s Church. I begin each class with prayer introducing the topic of the day and you can feel their enthusiasm. Several times I have heard whispered, “This is going to be great.” Some weeks our discussions get very lively as they work out what God is teaching them and I sit back and become more a moderator than teacher. Love, Love, Love this very Biblical series “relating faith to life & life to faith.”

I love the So What? study on Knowing the God Who Is and we’re currently finishing up Session 10… As a Youth Pastor, I deeply appreciate the sound doctrine and solid biblical teaching these materials provide and it helps me feel like I’m fulfilling my responsibility to reach today’s youth for Christ and help believers mature in their faith!

For close to ten years we have used the Show Me Jesus curriculum and the Kids’ Quest Catechism curriculum for our children and have recommended them to other churches and children’s ministries, and will continue to recommend to others. I have found that these are the most biblical and theologically sound children’s and youth curriculum that have passed through my desk. This is a great series. I especially like the Leader Guides. My teachers love it and it simplified my job!
We have just begun the “Knowing the God Who Is” study. It has great content and the kids are very receptive to it.
I really like that the the timeless truth can be updated and repackaged in contemporary relevant formats and presentation! I also appreciate the fact the solid theological foundations presented in the material. I am really looking forward to see what you do with John. My one critique of the curriculum is that like so many other youth curriculums they are topical/systematic theological driven rather than biblical theologically driven. Not to raise an old debate between systematic and biblical as if they are mutually exclusive, but as Voss argued biblical theology must shape and inform our systematic theology. More practically, I think it behooves us to teach whole books of the Bible as our students are engaging in debate with their unbelieving friends and friends from theologically diverse backgrounds. This more than just systematic theological categories will go a long way to grounding our covenant children in timeless truths of Scripture and helping them winsomely evangelize their friends.
We appreciate your comments! We are thankful that God is providing us with the resources to develop multiple studies. Some are arranged thematically, such as Knowing the God Who Is, and some are book studies, such as A Study of Romans, which will take students on a chapter-by-chapter study of Paul’s letter. There will also be more book studies, such as two on the Gospel of John and one on Genesis 1–3. We look forward to hearing more as you lead your group and pray for a fruitful time with your students!
