Using music appeals to different learning styles and can engage your students in a different way. Try it out one week before your closing prayer time.

You might use Bebo Norman’s song “Great Light of the Word.” Encourage your students to sing these words, making them their prayer:

Oh great light of the world

Come to impart

The light of your grace

To fill up my heart.

Note: This song is just a suggestion and may not work with your group. Listen to it ahead of time yourself. Or challenge your students to find songs they like based on this passage in John 9.
