This is right on time with what the youth are dealing with on a daily basis. I am a Sunday school youth teacher, and I was looking for lessons to help the kids dive into the word of God. My only question is, does this come in the Kjv version or is it only 1 version of the scriptures?

    Thank you

It is only available in the English Standard Version (ESV). Much of the Bible reading is done by the students directly from their Bibles, so you could use KJV during your teaching and explain any differences as you go. We hope these studies will work for you!

I am a Sunday School teacher for adults with special needs class. Trying to find a curriculum that I can adapt to meet our needs. Any experience with this population or recommendations?

Hi Mary, curriculum should be able to be adapted for adults with special needs. It depends on the disabilities of the adults in your class. We recommend the book Same Lake, Different Boat by Stephanie O. Hubach to help you think through some of the issues. We also recommend this website, Engaging Disability, and getting in touch with them, as they may be able to provide helpful support and further resources. God bless you as you serve!

I am interested in trying your material with my youth group. Which study would you recommend using first.

Where you begin with the studies really depends on your group and what you’re wanting to focus on first. Knowing the God Who Is can be a good place to start, but you can never go wrong with the gospel of John! You can download a free sample lesson of each and see which one seems like the best fit for your group. Read this article too!

    Hi,
I’ve purchased the Philippians Bible study. This is my first time using your product. Can you tell me how to get access to the Power Point for each lesson and the online devotionals please?

    Thanks so much,

    Alison

I am really interested in beginning your studies with my youth. I only have 30 to 45 minutes per session due to time constraints. Can the sessions be broken in half without taking away from their impact. I’m really excited to find your program. Thank you for your commitment to our youth!

Yes, many leaders have broken them into 2 sessions. It may require a little more prep on your end, but there is plenty of material and the studies are rich with biblical truths. Let us know how it goes! Thank you for your labors for Christ’s Church!

The Leader Kit says that it comes with Student Bible Studies. Does this mean it is all I need, or will I need to buy 1 Leader Kit, and then an additional Student Bible Study Pack for each teen in the group?

    • So What? Studies
      September 14, 2016 | 4:40 pm

The answer is yes — each student will need his or her own in order to be engaged in the lessons and do the weekly personal study time at home. The reason we include one student pack with the leader kit is so that the leader will do the Examine studies and Journal him/herself ahead of time as prep. Great question! If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Trusting you are able to see the goodness of the Lord all around you this week!

I’m looking at ordering this lesson for our home. We home school and I wanted a fresh study to use. My children are 13 & 9, which would be more appropriate for their ages? They have both been in an in depth Bible study from a very young age, so I am looking for something with some depth that makes them think. Even my youngest is way beyond what is out there for “children”. I want more than just stories and crafts, I want them to dig into the Word.

Thank you for your interest in our So What? Bible Studies. They are designed to help youth relate faith to their lives. If your children have been exposed to in-depth study, I am sure these would be great for them. You can download a free lesson from each of the studies by clicking here. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact me at 678.641.3757 or paulette.jackson@gcp.org.

I really am impressed with this setup. I work with teens and young adults. I will be ordering soon because I do a lot of youth programs and this is a good one. God Bless and keep up the good work.

Do you offer these materials in downloadable, editable formats? I work for a non-profit ministry that is caring for children in Africa and the Caribbean. We’re gathering curriculum that can be edited to match up with non-Western culture.

The digital devotional that is included with every study is a Word document that’s easily editable. And the PowerPoint slides allow leaders to make additions and changes to them as well. The print pieces are not editable. However, we have attempted to make So What? studies applicable to students in a variety of settings. Please download our free lesson samples of all 9 studies to see if they would work for your students. And God bless you in your ministry!

I had a group of my softball players who came to me about starting a Bible study and we’re considering starting with “Knowing the God Who Is.” How long do the studies last? And what are the recommended group sizes?

    • So What? Studies
      April 7, 2014 | 3:05 pm

Thank you for your interest! It is exciting to hear that the group came to you with a desire to start a Bible study. Each lesson lasts 45-60 minutes and the study has a total of 13 lessons. But we also provide a plan for you to break down the studies and teach them in 3- to 4-week segments.

“Knowing the God Who Is” can be taught in small or large groups. It is very flexible. Let us know if you have any other questions. Diane Bennett will be happy to assist you in your evaluation process. You may simply email her or call her at 877-300-8884.

Can your materials be bought separately? I have a small youth group and a limited budget and cannot use all the material offered as a package.

    • So What? Studies
      January 27, 2014 | 3:49 pm

Thanks for your question! We understand that budgets can be tight in a small ministry. Each Student Pack is sold separately. And 1 Student Pack is included in the Leader Kit, which also includes digital downloads. If you are unable to purchase 1 Student Pack for each student, you may use ideas from the pack included in your Leader Kit. This resource along with the digital downloads should give you enough information to teach the lessons. Please be sure to honor the copyright and NOT make copies or otherwise distribute our copyrighted material. We, however, emphasize the importance of using an Examine study with each student, as it greatly increases their understanding and application of God’s Word. If you have any other questions or need more assistance as you prepare to teach the lessons, please contact Diane Bennett here or 877-300-8884.

I encouraged the kids to use the journal on a weekly basis. I did not “force” the issue and demand they complete the work. That said, quite a few did. Some would even text each other during the week as a reminder. Now we’re going through “Knowing the God Who Is” and we’re using the first 5 minutes of each class to review their journal findings.

The PowerPoint is AWESOME! What a wonderful compliment to the study. I almost missed the video embedded in the one study about the tribe receiving their Bible for the 1st time. I so thank you all for putting a PPT together. It truly raises the whole study up a notch. I would mark in my leader’s guide when to queue the next slide. Students love the visual aspect.

As a helper with the Sunday School Teacher for older elementary children I was very impressed with the material and since my background is Elem Education I was interested in the material for all ages to better equip myself for a time when I would have a class myself. I was amazed how wonderful the material is compiled to follow God’s covenant plan for His people. I observed this in a classroom for primary age and was amazed the new things I learned as an adult. Would recommend this curriculum for other churches as well.
